A new Arts and Culture Zone for a new Bognor?
A new Arts and Culture Zone for a new Bognor?
So, there are moves afoot to create a new arts and culture zone in Bognor.
Steve Goodheart and Rachel Searle (both well loved Bognorians) called an Open Forum recently which was attended by over 50 creative artists and residents.
The consensus was that it’s time for the community to work together to have a strong influence on the shape of things to come, as the re-generation plans start to take shape, by using arts and culture as an inspiration.
It was felt that Bognor is in a prime position to attract even more investment in the town, over and above the £600m (including over £15m in the new Regis Centre) that has already been committed since 2007.
So a voluntary and inclusive enterprise is now underway to make it happen and it appears to be gaining traction.
Would you support the initiative and do you think that the community working smarter together could make a difference?
Also, do you have any creative ideas on what the enterprise should be called?
