from the Bognor Arts & Culture Open Forum Steering Group
Posted by John Parsons on 19 Apr 25
The Steering Group, consisting of 9 volunteers from the Open Forum held its first meeting on Thursday 17 April.
An action plan was agreed to prepare the way to report back to the next Open Forum (date to be agreed for July or August).
The action plan includes developing the following items:
Formalising the status of the enterprise as an unincorporated charity. This first small step would:
move us from an informal voluntary group to an emerging charity and allow us to open a bank account and begin to apply for grant funding.
require us to have an agreed Constitution signed by 3 Trustees.
be a first step towards becoming a more formalised incorporated charity or other type of social enterprise in due course.
2. A mechanism for agreeing the name of the enterprise.
Suitable working titles are:
The Bognor (Regis) Arts & Culture Open Forum (BACOF/BRACOF)
The Bognor (Regis) Arts & Culture Enterprise (BACE/BRACE)
The informal working title for the Steering Group is
The Bognor Regis Arts Intelligence Network (BRAIN).
As an inclusive community network, the formal name(s) should be approved by the Open Forum.
3. Registration of Bognor.online as the website to record progress and keep the network abreast of latest news.
4. Creation of a Private Facebook Group f for the wider network:
new members are either invited by current members or can ask to join
all are approved by the Group Administrators (currently Steve Goodheart, Rachel Searle and John Parsons) on application.
(we may consider changing to a Public Group at some stage).

6. Development of statements for:
7. Development of
options on indemnity insurance
