As far as I see it, at the end of the Open Forum, Doug asked for volunteers to help set up the Steering Group.

The list included 8 volunteers but as the meeting hasn't taken place yet I guess it's not too late to add more on an individual basis.

If you have friends who would also like to volunteer I'd be happy to invite them along as well if they make contact with me.

As there is much work to be done, Steve, Rachel and I have been planning the agenda and process for the first meeting.

It is important that things get started in a well organised and business-like way so it would be helpful to know how many volunteers will be there in advance so that we can send them the preparation sheet beforehand.

Ideally, a formalised Steering Group should be around 5-7 people; otherwise it's too big and unwieldy to steer anything effectively.

If you're planning to attend on Thursday it would be helpful if you would take a look at the PrepSheet so we're all up to speed with what's happening.
