Steve is happy to chair the meeting but is equally happy for anyone else to volunteer.
The Challenge

Preparation
We should be business focussed, well prepared and use the website as our means of record keeping.
Our motto is Stronger Together
Our modus operandi (MO) is Perfect Preparation Prevents Poor Performance.
Before discussion and approval items each volunteer will briefly introduce themselves (as Doug managed to supervise so expertly at the Open Forum).
Use the Registration Form to update your bio.
Security
This is our top priority and includes network and cyber security.
The Chairman is responsible for legal and security compliance.
Communications
Effective communication is key to our success.
It should be quick and easy and provide a record of discussions between meetings.
Recommendation: that we use WhatsApp for Steering Group communication between meetings.
For discussion and approval
Review list of possible names.
Use the Feedback Form to add your own if you have a preference.
Recommendation: that we use the working title of The Bognor Regis Arts & Culture Open Forum until a consensus is achieved on the formal name to be adopted.
Recommendation: that we use Bognor.online as the working title for the website.
Review the draft purpose/mission statement, vision and aims.
Recommendation: that we use the working drafts until a consensus is achieved on the final versions.
Review organisation options. Most community enterprises begin their formal life as an Unincorporated/Unassociated Enterprise (usually a Charitable Trust)
Recommendation: that we register as an Unincorporated/Unassociated Charitable Trust.
Review the standard model for an unassociated charitable trust. Others are available for different types of organisation.
Recommendation: that we adopt the model constitution.
As an unincorporated/unassociated enterprise this means there's no legal separation between the business's assets and liabilities and the personal assets and liabilities of the individuals involved.
Recommendation: that a limited form of indemnity or public liability insurance is employed.
Recommendation: that we approve the 5 Point Action Plan and Outline Business Plan for development before the next meeting and that we prepare to report back to a second Open Forum in Jul/Aug.
Intelligence is the outcome of effectively linking many pieces of information in a meaningful way.
Recommendation: that we each use the Add Your Own Content Form to add news, networks and events to help the site grow and to encourage our contacts and associates to register as members and do the same.
Recommendation: that we review the Ideas Bank and agree on 3 priorities for early development.
Recommendation: that we all continue to test the beta version of the website and provide feedback prior to launching the alpha version in Jun/Jul.
